Style Choices

Watercolor style – colors are soft and generally flow into each other. Edges are diffused and there is very little detail. The strength of the image comes from the composition and calming attributes. Watercolors are a perfect solution to engage the eye and imagination.

Photo-realistic style – the subjects of these portraits are based quite literally on photographic images. The backgrounds and compositions can be changed but the subjects appear very life-like to the photos.

Oil style – oils are a bit abstract with strong brush stroke work. The finished image will be on high quality paper or archival canvas with multiple layers of varnish. Texture and shine are two of the strengths of this style. The oil style is reminiscent of the old world masters.
